Marie J. Connors

Marie J. (McLane) Connors, 85, died Sunday morning, June 26, 2016 at Exeter Hospital. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Connors, Jr., with whom she shared more than forty years of marriage.
Born in Hyde Park on Dec. 17, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Comeau) McLane. She was a graduate of Boston University and prior to her marriage in 1959 was employed as a legal secretary at Hale & Dorr and at MIT.
Following her marriage, Marie and Dan relocated to Salisbury, where she worked with her husband to establish Connors Farm in Salisbury. Following retirement in 1986, they relocated to Palmyra, Maine where they enjoyed travelling the coast of Maine. She had resided in Exeter since 2002.
She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She leaves three children, Lyn Helliesen and her husband Walter of Exeter, NH, Neal Connors and his wife Laurine of Fanwood, NJ, and Denise Connors-Smith and her husband Jeff of Vail, AZ, her grandchildren, Meghan Aldrich, Andrew and Billy Helliesen, Adam and Jared Smith, Erin and Ryan Connors, and her great-grandson, Jack Aldrich.
Her Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9AM. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels, 106 North Rd., Brentwood, NH 03833.
