Mark A. Blanchette

Mark A. Blanchette, 60, of Chelsea, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Born in Salem on Oct. 28, 1955, he was the son of the late Rene and Annette (Dumais) Blanchette. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. He then served for several years in the United States Air Force. He had previously been employed by Verizon, and more recently was employed by the New England Center and Home for Veterans. An avid sports fan, Mark enjoyed game shows and old TV shows. He leaves a son, Mark P. Blanchette of Billerica, his sister, Janice Blanchette of Peabody, his brother Paul Blanchette and his wife Christine of Newburyport, two nephews, Michael Blanchette of Cary, NC and Stephen Blanchette of Newburyport, and five great-nephews. His Funeral Service will be Thursday evening, June 30, 2016 at 7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Visitation will begin at 6PM. Burial will be private.
