Mary Ann Guarino

DANVERS- Mary Ann (Doherty) Guarino, 81, passed away on August 7, 2016 in her home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Nicholas Guarino. Born in Salem on June 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Greehy) Doherty. She was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. Mary Ann also graduated from the New England Conservatory and was an accomplished singer. She was a long time resident of Danvers and had been a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish. In addition to raising her children, Mary Ann had worked outside the home as a receptionist. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Diane Guarino of Danvers, her granddaughter, Morgan Andrews of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Barry N. Guarino and her brother, Charles Doherty, Jr. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
