Guestbook

  1. For Pat, Nancy, Phyllis and Terry,

Gene, Kevin and I send you our heart felt sympathy for your loss of Martha. She was beautiful. Martha was the most open and honest person I have ever known. She was so refreshing.

I remember as a child, my mother and I would visit Martha’s house. When we drove into the driveway I would hear, “Linda and Phyllis are here” and there would be all of you tumbling out of the front door, back door, and around the corner of the house to greet us. The wonderful greeting felt like a warm blanket of love wrapped around me. Many of the happiest moments of my life were at Martha’s.

Martha was a devoted wife and devoted mother. She knew what was important and lived it. I feel so fortunate to have known her.

I pray that she is now experiencing a peace that surpasses understanding.

    Love,
    Linda, Gene and Kevin

  2. I have another memory that I would like to share. In the late 1950s my mother and I drove into Martha’s driveway and Martha was atop a high ladder leaning on the side of her large red barn. She waved, “hello” to us, pulled at a nail on the barn and 1/2 of the side of the barn came crashing down. Effective, she was.

    Love,
    Linda

  3. My best memories of Nana Susie involve bringing the family over for dinner on one of our visits. She always pulled out fun things for the kids, like an old set of legos or a coloring book with crayons, that would keep them entertained. Susie really enjoyed when one of my kids or Pat would play the piano, and would sing along with the songs she knew.

  4. Martha was a wonderful Woman, Mother, & Friend. Growing up down the street and always playing with my best friend, Pat.–we would do some crazy things and Martha would always Laugh at us. She was a hard worker and loving mother to her children. What can I say except Mom I will miss you. Say hello to my Mom when you get situated. You are going to be missed by many. A tribute to Motherhood. Love to You and Family.
