Richard D. Perry

Richard D. "Dick" Perry, 55, died Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born in Lynn on Sept. 3, 1961, he was the son of the late Robert and Aurora (Girard) Perry. Richard was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. A lifelong Danvers resident, he lived with his family until six years ago, when he became a resident of a Bass River home in Danvers. For thirty-two years, Dick worked in the workshops at Bass River’s day programs. He was a parishioner of Saint Richard Church and loved TV shows, especially the original Star Trek, Lost in Space, The Partridge Family, and T.J. Hooker. He leaves his sister, Diana Provencher of Stratham, NH, his brother, Robert Perry and his wife Ava Markey of Auburn, ME, a niece, Kate Markey of Auburn, ME, and a loving extended family and many friends. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at 9AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s name may be made to Bass River, Inc., 437 Essex St., Beverly, MA 01915.
