Edward J. Marticio

DANVERS- Edward J. Marticio, 80, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Dec. 30, 2016. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Fox) Marticio with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Charlestown on February 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Inocencio and Eleanor (Dowling) Marticio. He was educated in Danvers and attended Holten High School.
Edward served his country in the Navy, and upon returning home, he started his career as a meat cutter and spent many years with First National Supermarket and ending his career at Shaw’s Supermarket. After retiring, Edward enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and reminiscing about old times with his friends. He also enjoyed listening to 50’s music, and watching his westerns.
Besides his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his five children, Michael Marticio and his wife Debby of Danvers, Nancy Marticio and her wife Sandra Stacey of Beverly, David Marticio and his wife Maureen of Danvers, Sharon Albiero and her husband, Michael of Danvers and Eddie Marticio and his wife Colleen of Beverly, two siblings, April Marticio of Danvers and Pedro Marticio of Bellingham, seven grandchildren, Conor, Ryan, Casey, Lily, Gavin, Callie and Matthew and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five siblings, John, Janesta, Ellen, Eleanor and Ino.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial is private. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Edward’s name to Northshore Education Consortium, 112 Sohier Road, Beverly, MA 01915 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN, 38105.
