Vivianne E. Jenkins

December 12, 1930 ~ May 6, 2017
Vivianne Eva (Bouchard) Jenkins, 86, died May 6, 2017 following a long illness. She was the loving wife of the late William Arthur Jenkins, with whom she shared sixty-four years of marriage.
Born in Nashua, NH to the late Alfred and Emelia (Durocher) Bouchard, she was raised and educated in Nashua and had been a resident of Hamilton for more than fifty-five years.
Vivianne was a longtime employee of General Electric at the River Works plant in Lynn. In retirement, she spent several hours each week supporting the Hamilton Community House.
An avid reader, she loved gardening and travelling with her husband to Volksmarches. Those close to her remember her with love, enjoying a full life with laughter. She will be greatly missed.
She leaves her children, Christine Eldred, Kevin Jenkins, Giselle McCowan, Cynthia Mancuso, Shawn Jenkins, and Josette Davis, her fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Her Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 3PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vivianne’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. www.LyonsFuneral.com.
We are so sorry to hear about Vivianne’s passing. Brother Henry has some great memories of Vivianne teaching him to dance, though he failed the lessons quite badly. We both have great memories of when we lived in Boston and Bill and Viv would join us on many Friday nights for a game of Hearts. Bill was a great winner, but not so good when he lost. We have very fond memories of 4th of July celebrations on Arthur Avenue. Living up hear in Maine we have depended on Viv keeping us up on how things were with everyone on the family. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
