James R. Troy

DANVERS- James R. Troy, 64, passed away on October 31, 2017 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Suzzanne M. (Copithorne) Troy.
Born in Quincy on December 17, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Eva Marion (Perkins) Troy. He was raised and educated in Randolph, graduating from Randolph High School. Jim had been a resident of Danvers for the past 17 years. He had been employed as a truck driver for 38 years with Mystic Island Transport. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, the Boston Bruins, and music. He especially enjoyed Blue Grass music and playing his guitar. He was also an avid reader.
Besides his wife Suzzanne, he is survived by three children, Sara Troy of NY, Whitney Troy and her husband Dashawn Hinnant of GA and Jesse Troy of Danvers, two siblings, Joanne McAuliffe of Middleboro and Paul Troy of Kingston, three grandchildren, Adriana, Deana and Camren and his beloved dog, Brandi.
His Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s name to help find a cure for glioblastoma to Mass General Hospital Development Office, Attn: Krista McCabe, 125 Nashua St., Boston, MA 02114.
I am so glad I had the chance to know Jims kind heart, generous soul and quick wit. May the love of those around you all help you through the difficult days yet to come. love to you all, here for you always, Dani xo
