Joan E. (Doyle) LeBlanc, 84, of Danvers, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Born in Salem on June 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Madeline (Burgoyne) Doyle. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School and the Chandler School in Boston. For many years until the time of her retirement, Joan was employed by GTE Sylvania on Endicott Street, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. A Danvers resident for more than sixty years, Joan enjoyed baking, knitting for her grandchildren, mysteries, and a Manhattan at the Century House. She loved her dog, Nena, and traveling to Aruba, especially when she was joined by her grandchildren. She leaves two children, Robert LeBlanc and Michelle McGovern, both of Danvers, three granddaughters, Lyndsey Vincello of Raymond, NH, Courtney McGovern of Danvers, and Caitlyn LeBlanc of New Jersey, a sister, Myrna Franklin of Hamilton, a brother, John Doyle and his wife Noreen of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Michael and Mark LeBlanc. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tues., Dec. 5, 2017 at 9AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Donations in Joan’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.

    My deepest condolences on the Loss of Joan. I have many fond memories of Joan during our teen years. She was one of the stongest woman I have ever known and will always smile when I think of her. May she rest in peace.
