Ann M. Britton

DANVERS- Ann M. (Luongo) Britton, 82, passed away surrounded by her family on March 16, 2018 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph R. Britton.
Born in Chelsea on December 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Shoohigh) Luongo. She was raised and educated in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School. Ann had been employed as a bank teller and later in the loan department for the former Danvers Savings Bank. She had also worked at Danversport Yacht Club. Ann volunteered at the Town Hall and also as a town crossing guard for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Caroline Noel of Billerica and her nephew and Godson, John Noel and several nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
Her Graveside Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ann’s name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA, 01923 or the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675.
My Dear Aunt Ann. How we looked forward to seeing you and Uncle Joe. Every family party had to include “Aunt Ann’s” potato salad, We grew up seeing you and Uncle Joe sharing your love together. How lucky we were.
