DANVERS- Robert Lee Maloney, 30, passed away on December 8, 2018 in Salem Hospital following a 15 year battle with addiction. Born in Danvers on November 10, 1988, he was the son of Robert E. Maloney of NH and Robin L. (Berardino) Maloney and her companion, Peter Drew of Danvers. Robert was raised and educated in Danvers. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, snowmobiling and camping. Robert had a great sense of humor and loved his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Paulette Albright of Danvers, his paternal grandparents, Robert and Pauline Maloney of NH, his siblings, Joseph Maloney of Peabody, Caitlyn Maloney and her partner, Sammi Famolare of Peabody, his companion, Ashley Drew of Danvers, his aunts and uncles, Dawn Donovan and her husband Danny, Marilyn Rodman, Ellie Maloney, Carolyn Woodward, Paula Rehlander, Richard Maloney and Jamie Maloney and cousins Matthew Blank, Melanie Zimmermann and David Soter and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. His Funeral Service will be held at 7PM on Friday, December 14, 2018 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4-6:45PM prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Robert’s name to the Salvation Army, 209 Broadway, Saugus, MA 01906.

  1. So saddened to hear of his passing, especially after such a long struggle with the pain of addiction. Too many of our beautiful young people are succumbing to this scourge. Though I did not know Robert personally, I am offering my sympathy and condolence to Paulette, his grandmother, and her family. May God keep you in faith and give you solace in your time of grief at losing your loved one.
