Francis R. Haight

Francis R. Haight, 79, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Pilgrim Rehab Center in Peabody. He was the loving husband of the late Karen (Reeves) Haight, with whom he shared fifty-one years of marriage. Born in Peabody on April 14, 1939, he was the son of the late James and Hilda (Essember) Haight. He was raised and educated in Peabody and had been a lifelong resident of Peabody and Salem. Mr. Haight was employed as a cab driver until the time of his retirement and was associated with Community Taxi for many years. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He leaves two children, Ronda Gagne and her husband David of Maine and Christopher Haight and his wife Del of Danvers, four grandchildren, Robert DiGiammarino, Ashley Floarea, Gwen Gagne, and Peter Gagne, four brothers, James, Richard, Paul, and David Haight, as well as many nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was predeceased by his brother David George and a special cousin, Raymond Haight. The family is grateful for the wonderful care of the staff at Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center and Compassionate Care Hospice. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11AM in Saint John the Baptist Church, Chestnut St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are prior to Mass on Tuesday from 9-10:45AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
