David A. Woods, 66, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24, 2018. Born in Springfield on Oct. 31, 1952, he was the son of Lorraine Woods of Agawam and the late Arnold Woods, Jr. Dave grew up in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee High School in 1970 and Springfield Technical Community College in 1972. He had been a Danvers resident for twenty-five years. He was employed by New England Telephone, later Verizon, for thirty years. He was currently employed in the transportation department at the Northeast Arc in Danvers. Dave was an active member of the Elks, Franco-American Club, and Polish Club. In addition to his mother, he leaves her companion Vinny Palange, his brother, Arnold Woods and his wife Linda of Danvers, a nephew, Frankie of Holyoke, and a niece, Riley of Holly Springs, NC. Dave was a quiet and respectful man who looked for the good in all those he met. He will be deeply missed. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 29 at noon in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are prior to the Mass in the church from 10AM- 11:45AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northeast Arc, 1 Southside Rd., Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are by C.R.
