Dorothy A. Flaherty

DANVERS- Dorothy A. (Nash) Flaherty, 86 passed away on February 25, 2019. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Thomas F. Flaherty, Jr. with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Born in Boston on June 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Mackie) Nash. Dorothy was raised and educated in Boston. She had been employed as a clerk for the City of Boston for many years. Dorothy had been a faithful communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers and was also one of the founding members of their Mr. and Mrs. Club. She is survived by her five children, Thomas Flaherty III and his wife, Patty of NH, William Flaherty and his wife, Gale of NY, Kevin Flaherty and his fiancée, Grace Serpa of Boxford, Beverly Flaherty and her husband, David Enderwick of Peabody and Richard Flaherty and his wife, Maria of NC and nine grandchildren. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Friday, March 1, 2019 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at. C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 350 Merrimac St, Newburyport, MA 01950.
