Rita M. Beauvais

DANVERS- Rita M. (LaChance) Beauvais, 94, passed away on March 6, 2019 in Beverly Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Henry R. Beauvais with whom she shared 38 years of marriage. Born in Danvers on May 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Loretta (LeBlanc) LaChance. Rita was raised and educated in Danvers. In her younger years, she had been employed with the Ideal Baby Shoe Factory and Hotwatt. Rita and her husband, Henry, purchased the Fairways Motel in Kennebunkport in 1970. They owned and operated to motel for many years. After Henry’s passing, Rita moved back to Danvers and started working at Harbor Sweets in Salem, where she worked well into her eighties. Rita enjoyed Bingo and traveling. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Jones and her husband, Thomas of Danvers, Patricia Crowley of North Andover and Janet Lambert and her husband, Donald of New Gloucester, ME, her daughter-in-law, Eugenia Beauvais of Wells, ME, her two sisters, Jeannette Amero of Danvers and Claire Dube of Swampscott, seven grandchildren, Karen, Kimberly, Shawn, Shannon, Stephanie, Christopher and Nicole, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Henry Beauvais and her son-in-law, Alvin Crowley. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 11, 2019 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service in the funeral home on Monday. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
