Bruce W. Hamilton, 72, peacefully passed away on April 18, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Bonnie (Conroy) Hamilton with whom he would have celebrated their thirty-sixth wedding anniversary on April 22, 2019. Born in Lynn on October 20, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Barbara Hamilton. He was raised and educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1964. He served our country during the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharge. Bruce had been employed as a processor for General Electric before retiring after twenty three years. Bruce was also a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and was a chef at the former Romie’s Restaurant in Danvers for many years. Bruce was an avid golfer and was a former member at Gannon Golf Club in Lynn and former member and Club Champion at Beverly Golf and Tennis Club . In addition to his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by his children, Bruce and Bonni Hamilton of Marblehead, Michael Hamilton of NH and Kimberly and Sean Birmingham of Danvers, his brother, Brian Hamilton and his wife Laurie of Harwich and grandchildren, Brian and Brenna Hamilton and Molly and Megan Birmingham. Bruce will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s name to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Heart Assoc., 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451 or a charity of one’s choice.
