DANVERS- Henry R. Bedard, 90, passed away on November 29, 2019 in Lahey Burlington Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Fennessey) Bedard with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Lynn on January 19, 1929, he was the son of Arthur and Ida (Plourde) Bedard. He served our country with the United States Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. Henry had been a longtime resident of Danvers and a parishioner of Saint Richard Church. He was employed at Hansen Engineering in Danvers for many years as a machinist. Henry enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and had a knack for growing tomatoes. He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was a Red Sox fan. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by six children, Brian Bedard of NH, Gary Bedard of Saugus, Elena Roessler and her husband, Kurt of NH, Ronald and David Bedard both of Swampscott and Theresa Bedard of OR, three stepchildren, Mark Levesque and his wife, Jamie of NH, Paul Levesque of Danvers and Catherine Burke of Saugus, eleven grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Cassandra, Ryan, Joshua, Lillian, Jennifer, Zahrah, Cassandra, Ce-Ja and Edward, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Douglas Bedard and nine siblings. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Henry’s name to Saint Richard Major Gift Initiative, 90 Forest St., Danvers.
