Bernice M. Casey

MIDDLETON—Bernice M. “Bunny” Casey, 72, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving daughters following a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Casey, with whom she shared fifty-two years of marriage. Born in Danvers on May 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor (Hoelzel) Twiss and James E. Monroe. She was a 1965 graduate of Masconomet High School. Bunny was employed at Richardson’s Dairy for many years. She was very loving and devoted to her husband, Bob. They were always at each other’s side in everything they did. Over the years, Bunny and Bob treasured time together with family and friends. Bunny enjoyed reading, playing cards, knitting, ceramics, and following WWE. She loved to cook and found great pleasure in cooking for others. Her greatest enjoyment in life, however, came from the time she spent with her grandchildren. Bunny leaves two daughters, Sandra Perkins and her husband James of Danvers and Patricia Szczechowicz and her husband Kevin of North Berwick, Maine; and five adoring grandchildren, Abigail and Alexander Perkins and Nathan, Jack, and Lillian Szczechowicz. She also leaves a brother, Frank Twiss and his wife Ilene of Middleton and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother James Monroe and her cousin, William Hayward. Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
