Mr. Raymond L. Muse, of Salem, beloved husband of Bonnie R. (Jones) Muse, died Friday, February 7, 2020 following a lengthy struggle with cancer. He is also survived by two sons, Robert Nathaniel of Norfolk, and William Andrew of Grafton.
Ray was born and raised in Salem and was educated in Salem public and parochial schools. He attended St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, and graduated from Boston College Class of 1965.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and cousin, Ray enjoyed walking, gardening and grilling year round, regardless of the weather.
He was devoted to his long love of 47 years and best friend, Bonnie. Above all, family always came first. He was happiest when he and Bonnie were with their boys, their wives and grandchildren, Bob and his wife Colleen, and their children Molly, Liam, Griffin, and Emmett; and Bill and his wife Rachel and their twin girls, Pearl and Stella.
Ray also enjoyed the company of his cousins James & Gertrude Muse, Fredrick & Kathleen Paluzzi, and Ronald & Mary Plutnicki.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Bonnie, Bobby and Billy. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Ray. He always had a warm smile and a kind word to say in the neighborhood. He was so thoughtful to always stop young Tom and Molly on their bikes to see how they were and what they were up to both in and out of school. He was such a gem. May you all find peace knowing the angels have carried him home to God. Sending you love, light, strength and comfort during this difficult time. The O’Hare Family

To Bob and Colleen and kids:
I met Mr. Muse only once, at the bus stop in Norfolk, he was there for his grandkids, and I was happy to meet Bob’s Dad. Sorry to hear about your loss, having lost my own Dad 3 years ago, I know about it first hand. God bless.
