  1. We moved across the street from Ed and Esther in 2017, they were one of the first people that introduced themselves. Little did I know it but that was the beginning of a great friendship. In 2018, my wife let me buy a snowblower and on the first snow fall of the year I caught Ed starting to snow blow the end of our driveway, I had to race outside to tell him to stop so I could play with my new toy. That was Ed, he was always helping others whether they asked for it or not. I feel fortunate knowing that Ed knew he was my hero and how much that I looked up to him. I feel so blessed that our paths crossed.

  2. Ed was a wonderful friend to my dad, Bernie Anderson. My dad and Ed shared a love of woodworking and he was often with my dad when the furniture piece was delivered to my house. He was just a true blue guy and I’m sure my dad will really miss his companionship. I hope his loved ones find peace.

  3. My heartfelt sympathy to Ed’s family. I worked at GE for many years. A friend of mine was Ed’s secretary. He was THE BEST boss anyone could ever have. His people would jump through hoops for him. RIP Ed. Hope to see you on the flip side.

  4. My Grandchildren would get so excited to meet up with Ed on our morning walks to the Coffee Shack in Green Harbor. His personalized Thank You notes to each of the five kids were really special, just like Ed.

  5. My condolences to the McCarthy family. Remember Ed as the best boss I ever had but more than that a fine man and friend. I feel blessed to have known Ed. May the peace of God be with Ed and his family.

  6. Sympathies to the McCarthy family. Please know you have many prayers coming your way from San Antonio, TX.

  7. Green Harbor beach area will not be the same without you my friend and neighbor from across the street. Mary and my condolences go out to Esther, all Ed’s daughters and their families. May Gods peace be with all of you.
