DANVERS - Thomas E. Lanphear, 66, passed away on November 13, 2020 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington. Born in Danvers on November 3, 1954, Tom was the second son born to the late William C. and Ida F. (Martin) Lanphear. Tom was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1973. His entire career was spent working in the hardware business. His first job was at Danvers Hardware. He next worked at Winer Brothers Hardware in Beverly for several years and then returned to work again at the Danvers Hardware. For a few years he was a manager in the Tool Department at Lowes in Danvers. He then returned again to Danvers Hardware to finish his career prior to his retirement. Tom is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law William and Deborah (McKay) Lanphear of Lynn, and Roger and Ann (Janvrin) Lanphear of Exeter, NH; his former wife and dear friend Ann (Reiss) Lanphear, his step-daughter Crystal Burke, his loving companion Kathleen Cullen and her daughter Nora and grandson Jordan; and his nephews Roth Lanphear and Roger Lanphear. He was predeceased by his sister Robin (Lanphear) Hoyt. Tommy was a loving son, brother, husband and friend who will be missed by all that knew and loved him. His funeral services will be held in the spring due to the ongoing pandemic.

  2. I have known this man for my entire life. I have loved him longer than I can count. He was a loving presence in my daughter and my grandson’s life for more than 20 years.
