Shirley D. LeVasseur

Shirley D. (Theriault) LeVasseur, 89, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her home in Danvers. She was the wife of the late Robert F. LeVasseur.
Born in Salem on April 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Roi) Theriault. She was raised and educated in Salem and Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School.
Shirley was employed for several years in the Continuing Education Department at Salem State College and later for Madison Kimball in Salem and Danvers.
A longtime Danvers resident, she enjoyed bowling and bingo. Her most precious time, though, was spent with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves four children, Mariel Clements and her husband, Ken, of Lynn, Marie Henning and her husband, Will, of Indianapolis, IN, Susan LeVasseur of Peabody, and Cynthia Doherty and her husband, Thomas, of Danvers, six granddaughters, Adrienne, Christine, Danielle, Jessica, Michelle, and Lindsay, her great-grandchildren, Lily, Owen, Liam, Cooper, Genevieve, Norah, and Gavin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Anita, Louis, and Norman “Pete” Theriault.
Shirley’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 10:30AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Attendees are kindly asked to wear face coverings and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lahey Health at Home, 600 Cumming Center, Beverly, MA 01923.
