Michael Hill, 60, formerly of Londonderry and Manchester NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 4th at the New England Homes for the Deaf in Danvers, MA where he lived for the past 7+ years after a long illness. He was born January 27, 1961 in Londonderry, NH to Kenneth H. Hill and Corrine (Supernor) Hill. Michael spent a good part of his childhood at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. Determined to make it on his own, he graduated from Manchester Memorial High School and entered a training program with Easter Seals where he learned to assemble electronics for Data Products in Milford, NH. He held several other jobs and lived on his own until the last 7 years, when he started to lose his sight due to Diabetes. Michael is survived by his sisters Judith (Hill) Nelson of Newport, NH, Deborah (Hill) Lampron of Warner, NH, Rhonda (Hill) Smith of San Padre Island, TX, Sandra (Hill) Janelle of Mendon, MA, and Robin (Hill) Osborne of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Plans for a memorial service are still being prepared at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the New England Homes for the Deaf, 154 Water Street, Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are by the C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

I’m so sorry for the LOSS of your brother Michael ~ I never knew him but can relate to his Deafness as I also have a Michael who was born Deaf ~ What a wonderful World it is to have someone so special who is Deaf ~ I strongly believe that ASL should be a 2nd language ~ The LORD wanted just another Rose to put in his Garden, so he chose your brother Michael. I am deeply sorry for the loss of your brother Michael. The name Michael means:”Who is like GOD” & “A Gift from God”

  2. Michael was always very adventurous and wanted to be where ever we were.He liked to swim.And the winter sledding was his favorite thing to do.We will never forget him making the I love sign .We will miss him.
