Donald J. Ouimette

PEABODY- Donald J. Ouimette, Sr., 92, passed away on November 30, 2021, in Blueberry Hill Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Marie (Cook) Ouimette and his wife of 49 years, the late Rosalie (Renaud) Ouimette. Born in Danvers on November 18, 1929, he was the son of the late Daniel and Malena (Maynard) Ouimette. Donald was raised and educated in Danvers. He was a dedicated employee of Hotwatt for over 30 years. He had been employed as a foreman and retired on his 85th birthday. Donald loved music and had been a member of the Blue Angels Drum and Bugle Corps. He could often be heard whistling his way through work and other activities. He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, model planes, camping, and gardening. He is survived by his children, Donald J. Ouimette, Jr. and his wife, Beverly of Danvers, Debora Ouimette and Dolores Ouimette, both of Peabody, Edward Ouimette and his wife Jenny of AZ and Robert Ouimette and his wife Lisa of AZ, his siblings, Wallace Ouimette of Danvers, Rita Zagarella of Danvers, and Eleanor Page of NH, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Roger Walters and sisters, Flora LaChance and Dorothy Gaudette. The family is grateful to many who helped out Donald in his later years. A special thanks goes to Chris Toler, who was caretaker and friend to Don. His funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donald’s name to the Spectrum Adult Day Health Program, 600 Cumming Ctr. Suite 176X, Beverly. Arrangements made by C.R.
