DANVERS- Donald H. Bergeron, 87, passed away on December 13, 2021, in his home. He was the devoted husband of the late Theresa (Savoie) Bergeron. Born in Salem on November 6, 1934, he was the son of the late Zephirin and Jeannette (St. Pierre) Bergeron. He was raised and educated in Salem and graduated high school from St. John Preparatory School in Danvers in 1952. Donald served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 1966. Donald had been an engineer for GTE Sylvania for over thirty years. He enjoyed summers at Granny Kent Pond in Shapleigh, Maine. He was a member of the Polish Club in Danvers and the French Club in Beverly. He is survived by three sons, Craig Bergeron and his wife, Cathy of Ipswich, Gary Bergeron and his wife, Michele of NH and Curt Bergeron and his wife, Lindsay of W. Newbury, his son-in-law, Robert Bucco of Danvers, ten loving grandchildren, Amanda Guerino and her husband Steve, Lauren Bucco, Nicholas Bucco, Jaclyn Bucco, Maegan Bergeron, Brett Bergeron, Erin Bergeron, Michael Bergeron, Logan Bergeron and Brody Bergeron and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Lisa Bucco and his brother, Leo Bergeron. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Monday, December 20, 2021, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donald’s name to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mount Carmel Rd, Danvers, MA, 01923.
