Elinor M. Wells

DANVERS- Elinor M. (Batchelder) Wells, 96, passed away on June 4, 2022. She was the wife of the late S. Henry Wells, Jr. Born in Danvers on May 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Aurelia (Begin) Batchelder. She was born and raised in Danvers and a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1944. Elinor was the owner Elinor M. Wells Realtors for over 25 years. She was a member of the Greater Salem Board of Realtors, a chairman for Mass Realtors Legislative Affairs and on the National Board of Mass Realtors. Elinor was also a member of the Sweet Adeline’s, a ladies barbershop group, for 28 years. She is survived by five children, Elaine Casavant of MI, S. Henry “Nippy” Wells, III and his wife Jennifer Marks-Wells of FL, Janet Bennett and her husband, Daniel of Danvers, Donald Wells and partner Ruth Stellatella of Danvers and Paula Wells Hutchison and her husband, Jay of NH and her sister Mary Burke of CT. Elinor is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Thomas McNulty and son-in-law, and their son, Thomas and Leonard Casavant and her siblings, Wilfred, George, Donald “Steve” and Frances Roache.
