I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I only met Jane a few times, but she was an absolute delight. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
So sorry to hear about mom. I have fond memories of her at both The House the Seven Gables and The Salem Garden Club. She was a lovely woman.
I especially loved her collection of meaningful, sometimes humorous, quotes she collected and shared and how much she loved her friends and family. Jane was an amazing woman and i will miss her.
We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Jane’s passing. She was such a sweet lady. May she soar with the angels!!
Jack and mom and I were reminiscing about all the summers spent in Salem and spending time at your house. I can still see Aunt Jane and Babcia in the kitchen… Love you all!!
Dear Dave, Amy, John, Janet and family,
Jane was such an incredible person. We are all so lucky to have known her (and Babcia as well of course). I will always hear her voice in my head calling David from the other room. Extraordinary how these sounds are imprinted in our memories. Jane was certainly an inspiration to all of us. She was shocked and amazed upon meeting my Polish girlfriend from Warsaw (I married up) and she let me know in no uncertain terms that I made the right move. O co chodzi Jane? Lots of love, Cliff, Marta, Ella, Polly and Helen Baldwin
To all the extended Koza and Zielinski family, You have love, prayers, and condolences from me and Meghan and all of us Sterlings. “Aunt Jane” was such a sparkle of bright light, wit, wisdom, and humor, for so many decades. You know how much my time in Salem and chances to connect with family there over my whole life has meant to me, but especially when I made annual visits as a boy to stay with my Uncle Ed and Aunt Dolores, she was always gracious and generous in including me in things and taking me along for some fun outing or meal. Very fond memories. And I have long seen how that graciousness is carried forward by her children and grandchildren. God’s peace be with you all, as you celebrate her life and memory. Walter Sterling
David and John and families, I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved mother. What I remember most about Jane is her genuine cheerfulness, warmth, and kindness. What a long and beautiful life she led! May she rest in peace, and may your many wonderful memories of her be a blessing and a comfort.
Hi Dave – your Mom was a sweetheart. My mother enjoyed her company at Garden Club! When we were at your house (Williams St.?, by the Hawthorne?) ~ she always wanted us to take food with us! She was special.
Dear John, Janet, David, Amy and Family,
I want you to know what a wonderful lady Jane was.Last time we spoke was about a month ago. We updated news and happenings about our kids and grandchildren and what it was like living on Herbert Street. My favorite story was when Jane helped my parents with translation when we came from Poland, how she sponsored my mother for her citizenship. I still have her Japanese fern growing in my garden when we moved to Maine. I will really miss her. Fondly, Jane Czapla DeNofrio
