Lenora M. Weir, 92, of Danvers, beloved wife of William C. Weir, Jr., passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2025.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, on April 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Pasqualina (Pandozzi) Lauretti. She was raised and educated in East Hartford where her life was full with lots of friends and a large Italian family.

A Danvers resident since 1958, Lenora made her home on Ledgewood Drive for many years where she developed special friendships with her neighbors which continued until her passing. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. Lenora was an avid reader and a dedicated patron of the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers, visiting weekly to explore new stories and expand her love of literature. Above all, Lenora cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She shared a special and loving relationship with each of them.

In addition to her devoted husband, she leaves behind her children: Susan Weir of Danvers, David Weir and his wife Heather of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Steven Weir and his wife Sherrie of Ocala, Florida. She was the proud grandmother of Greg and Laura Miglis, Danny, Billy, Chris, and Jamie Weir. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Lenora was predeceased by her five siblings, Carmelina Rick, Nancy Pilkin, and Carl, Salvatore, and Dante Lauretti.

Funeral services will be private. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Martha Daniels and the caregivers from All for One Senior Care for the tender and dedicated care they provided Lenora.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Friends of the Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.  Arrangements are by C.R.
