Sara C. Saplin of Danvers, MA passed away on May 31, 2025 at the age of 86. She was the wife of William R. Saplin with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
She was born in Providence, RI on October 11, 1938, to George and Helen Carter. In the years following her marriage she lived in Westborough, MA, Glastonbury, CT, Hingham, MA, Sutton, MA and then to Danvers where she lived close to her grandchildren.
Sara “Sally” found joy in music, was a classically trained singer, theatrical performer, church choir soloist, and was actively involved at Christ the Redeemer, Kaplan Family Hospice House, Chorus North Shore, and Danvers Garden Club. Her life was marked by love, caregiving, and unwavering faith in God. Sara was nurturing and compassionate to everyone she encountered. Above all, she touched innumerable lives with her genuine love, affection and warm smile.
She is survived by her husband William, daughters BethAnn (Larry) Burns and Kristin (Charles) Peppler, son Geoffrey, granddaughters Sara Peppler (Amanda Swanton), Grace Peppler, Eve (Alejandro) Lizcano, Helen Peppler, and great granddaughter Joy.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 188 Elliott Street, Danvers, MA 01923. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
