Victor P. Dzierzak, 81, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 16, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Priscilla (Talbot) Dzierzak, with whom he would have shared 57 years of marriage on July 27th.
Born in Danvers on August 5, 1943, he was the son of the late John and Julia (Tyburc) Dzierzak. A lifelong resident of Danvers, he was a graduate of the last class of Holten High School. Victor served our country with the United States Navy, stationed in Jacksonville, FL and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and was honorably discharged.
Victor had a long career as an airline mechanic. He graduated from East Coast Aero Tech and worked for 40 years at Logan International Airport, retiring from American Airlines as a lead mechanic.
Vic was a three-sport athlete in high school and continued to play sports while in the Navy. He coached the Danvers National Little League, mentoring many young athletes including his sons, Chris and Brian. He also coached the Saint Richard boy’s intramural basketball league for several years.
His seven grandchildren were the light of his life, he loved spending time with them and enjoyed attending all their activities.
Vic was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, golfing and boating. He also enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas with his wife, family and friends. He was a quiet man but loved deeply and was loyal to his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Priscilla, he is survived by his son Christopher of Danvers, his daughter and son-in-law Nicole and James Blum of Danvers, his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Jean of VA, his beloved grandchildren, Aaron, Julia and Benjamin Blum of Danvers and Jocelyn, Sydney, Matthew and Timothy Dzierzak of VA, his siblings, Theresa Stazinski of Peabody, Patricia Zelano and her husband Joseph “Rocky” of SC, Joanne Newman and her husband, Henry of Beverly, Raymond Dzierzak and his wife Ellie of SC, Robert “Butch” Dzierzak and his wife Debbie of SC and Diane Dzierzak of SC and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Peter Dzierzak and Lorraine Albiero.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
