As a sister-in-law, she was one of my favorite people. I enjoyed her company. She was compassionate and very understanding of everybody. May she rest in peace.

Karlene Marie DeVeau, 78, of Beverly, formerly of Danvers, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Born in Beverly on Oct. 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Gloria (Page) DeVeau. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1964 graduate of Danvers High School. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College.
Karlene was employed by Jordan Marsh and later Macy’s for fifty years until the time of her retirement.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She leaves a brother, Paul DeVeau of Beverly, two sisters, Patricia DeRocher of Beverly and Maralyn Wilchynski of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Janice Rodgers.
Her funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 10A.M. in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
