Kenneth B. Howes, 82, passed away on November 1, 2025 following a brief illness. He was the longtime companion of Sheila Bates, with whom he shared 43 years together.

Born in Danvers on February 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Frank and Claire (Pierce) Howes. Ken was raised and educated in Middleton. He had a long career as a carpenter. He also worked part time as a bartender at the former Office in Danvers square. More recently he had been a greeter at Connors Farm.

Ken had a passion for motorcycles, specifically Harley Davidsons. He made many special friendships through riding. He also enjoyed hunting and traveling, especially trips to North Conway and Aruba, as well as the great road trips to Bar Harbor and Lake George with many friends.

In addition to Sheila, he is survived by a daughter, Laurie Howes and a son Geoffrey Howes, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother Robert Howes and his sister Janet Ioushua, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother Phillip.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private.
