John J. “Jack” Cashman, 87, passed away on January 10, 2026, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane C. (Remare) Cashman with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Beverly on April 19, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Millie (Mitchell) Cashman. He was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School in 1956. Jack had a long career with United Parcel Service, retiring after 35 years.

Jack was the ultimate fan; he especially enjoyed attending any of his grandchildren’s activities, a proud grandfather always cheering them on. He also could be found rooting on any of the New England teams but had a special place in his heart for the Red Sox.

Jack had been a golfer and participated in the leagues at the Wenham Golf Club. He also enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean and Alaska.

In addition to his wife Diane, he is survived by his son Kevin Cashman and his wife Lisa of Danvers and his daughter Leanne Miraglia and her husband Charlie of Danvers, his four grandchildren, Lauren and Sarah Cashman and Nicholas and Zachary Miraglia, and his nephews, Rich Cashman and his wife Dianne, Rob Cashman and his wife Sue, and Jay and his wife Shenda Weaver, along with several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Clinton and Marilyn Cashman.

Visitation will be held from 9-11AM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St. His funeral service will immediately follow at 11AM in the funeral home. Burial in Wadsworth Cemetery, Summer St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jack’s name to FRAXA, 10 Prince Pl., #203, Newburyport, MA 01950.   7. I was Jack’s barber for over 30 years and he was the nicest, kindest and generous person. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I will miss going over to the house to cut his hair and chat with Diane. ❤️🙏❤️
