Christopher M. “Buddy” Listro, 54, died unexpectedly on April 1, 2026, at his home in Boston.

Born in Danvers on February 29, 1972, a leap year baby, he was the son of Michael J. Listro of Danvers and the late Elizabeth M. (Driscoll) Listro. Raised and educated in Danvers, Buddy was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1990.

Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that remained a source of great pride throughout his life. After his military service, he dedicated himself to a career in construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Buddy spent most of his life in Danvers and Beverly before moving to Boston eight years ago. He will be remembered for his happy-go-lucky disposition, his quick wit, and his wonderful sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Andrea O’Brien and her husband, Julian, of Beverly; his nephew, Ethan O’Brien of Beverly; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

His visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm Street, Danvers. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.  To share a message of sympathy with the Listro family, please visit www.LyonsFuneral.com.
