Louise L. Swiniarski

Louise L. (Viel) Swiniarski, 88, passed away on May 16, 2026 in the Brudnick Center in Peabody.

Born in Salem on July 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George and Lydia (LeBel) Viel. A graduate of Salem High School’s Class of 1955, Louise worked for many years as a computer operator for several local businesses, including Sylvania and Honeywell and as a bookkeeper for Beverly Hospital, and Lyons Ambulance Service.

Louise had been a longtime Danvers resident and a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church. She enjoyed knitting and donated many hats, mittens and blankets to HAWC, a local center that provides services for people experiencing domestic abuse. Louise was also a member of the Polish Club in Danvers and enjoyed many casino trips with them. She also enjoyed going to Bingo with her sisters and friends.

She is survived by her son Timothy Swiniarski and his partner Paul George of Salem and her daughter Nina Cimon and her husband John of Peabody, her sisters Muriel Bates of Peabody and Marianne Duhaime of Peabody, two beloved grandchildren Justin and Kendra and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Amanda Lee and sisters, Lucille Swiniuch and Susan Sheehan.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.  Burial is private.
