Born in: Somerville, Massachusetts
Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

Mary Grace (Casparriello) Cappuccio, 96, passed away surrounded by her family on May 25, 2026 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the loving wife of the late John R. Cappuccio.

Born in Somerville on January 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ernestine (Colarusso) Casparriello. Mary was raised and educated in Somerville, earned her associate degree, and began her career at Merchants National Bank on State Street in Boston. She and John moved to Danvers in the early 1960s and were communicants of the former Saint Alphonsus Church. A devoted Catholic, Mary was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Mary spent more than 31 years as a teacher’s aide in the Danvers public grammar schools, where she made a lasting impact on countless children. Deeply devoted to her family, she took time away from work to care for her husband during his illness. Her children meant the world to her, and she took great pride in being a grandmother to her only grandson Michael, and one of her proudest days of her life was to see him receive his bachelor’s degree from Boston College. She was also a football fan, cheering on the Patriots and Notre Dame.

She is survived by her daughter Annmarie Weaver and her husband, Lonnie of Texas, her son Michael Cappuccio and his wife, Gina of Florida, her grandson Michael Cappuccio of Medford, her brother John Casparriello and his wife Katherine of Somerville and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Salvatore and Louise Casparriello.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, May 29th at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St. Danvers.
