Danielle Marie “Dani” Casale-Riley passed away unexpectedly from a sudden illness, Thursday, July 2, 2026.  She was 40 years old. Danielle was born November 26, 1985 at Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston to Anne Casale-Skinner and Bryan Riley. Born at 27 weeks, she was severely premature and weighing just 1lb, 5oz. was a born fighter.

As a preemie, Danielle defied the odds early and carried with her a unique zest for life. Over her short time here, she faced a variety of health challenges including Polycystic kidney disease, fibromyalgia, bi-polar disorder, and most recently breast cancer – finishing her treatment just last year – a feat she was incredibly proud of!

Danielle attended Riverside and Highlands Elementary schools and graduated from Danvers High School in 2004. She attended Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts where she was involved in the theatre. A born romantic, she was an aspiring writer, poet and wonderful singer.

Danielle lived most of her life in Danvers, residing briefly in Salem, MA. She worked as a bus monitor at LBK Transportation. She was also a member of the All-Saints Episcopal church in Danvers where she loved singing in the choir.

Danielle loved and treasured her large family and was especially proud of her Irish and Italian heritage. Holiday times were her favorite, when the whole group gathered for family meals and stories. Some of her best memories were made during the families’ frequent trips to Disney World. She loved nature, reading, crows and flowers, history and music.

She is survived by her mother, Anne-Casale Skinner and stepfather, Michael Skinner of Danvers, her sister Abbey Skinner and brothers, Samuel and Adam Skinner.  Her father Bryan Riley and stepmother Laura of Amesbury, her siblings Kezya ,Taryn, Aydan and Bryce Riley. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Jeanette and Rudy Casale, Nancy and Thomas Riley of Danvers, and Uncles Daniel Casale of Lynn and Christopher Riley of Virginia.

Her positive outlook and cheery smile will be greatly missed by her many aunts and uncles dozens of first and second cousins, friends and extended family members.

Her funeral service will be Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM , at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore 13 Holten Street, Danvers.
