Peggy Ann (Donlon) Giles, 61, passed away on July 12, 2026, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of Michael A. Giles, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage.
Born in Beverly on August 21, 1964, she was the daughter of the late James L. Donlon, Janet E. (Hyde) Favara and her husband Anthony Favara. She was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School in 1982. Peggy put her heart into her family and her work as a real estate paralegal. Throughout her life, she was known for her big heart and the genuine kindness she extended to everyone she met. She had a natural gift for connecting with others and built deep, lasting friendships that spanned decades. When she wasn’t catching up with friends, Peggy was happiest curled up with a book, watching her favorite shows, or listening to her favorite music, which always filled her home.
In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her children, James Ryan Donlon and his fiancé Kelcie Sowersby of Port Charlotte, Florida, Benjamin Joseph Giles and his wife Nichole of Beverly and Mary Catherine Giles of Peabody, her grandsons Finn and Simon, sisters Cindy Donlon of Peabody and Tricia Cobuzzi of Danvers and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held that morning from 9:00AM-10:45AM in the funeral home. The burial is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Peggy’s name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923. Online directions and condolences are available at www.LyonsFuneral.com
