Resided in: Danvers, Massachusetts

Sally A. (Brimicombe) Gamble, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.  She was the wife of the late George W. Gamble, with whom she shared sixty-six years of marriage.

Born in Salem on March 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Enaise Brimicombe. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1953 graduate of Holten High School.

Sally began her professional career with New England Telephone before dedicating many years to nurturing and educating children. She served as a teacher’s aide and librarian in the Danvers Public School System and as an early childhood educator at Stepping Stones Nursery School.

A lifelong member of Calvary Episcopal Church, now All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore, Sally’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She served her parish as a member of the vestry, a lector, and a Sunday school teacher.

Sally also cherished the friendships she made through the YMCA water aerobics program, where she enjoyed spending time with friends and staying active.

Above all else, Sally was devoted to her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured family gatherings and holidays. As a grandmother, she was extraordinarily generous with both her time and her love, always eager to babysit, lend a helping hand, or simply be present for every milestone in the lives of those she adored.

She is survived by her four children, Jeff Gamble and his wife, Terri, of North Andover, Jim Gamble and his wife, Suzanne, of North Andover, Jack Gamble and his wife, Tracy, of Danvers, and Debra Rees and her husband, Michael Migliozzi, of Danvers; twelve beloved grandchildren Tori, Abbi (Larry), Sam, Erica (Tom), Max, Shannon, Marisa, Emma, Jake, Brenna, Sarah Paul, Kailee; two cherished great-grandchildren, Ellie and Addie; her brother, Jack Brimicombe; her sister, Judi Finn; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
