Elizabeth Rose Kenny

Elizabeth Rose (Sullivan) Kenny, 83, passed away on July 15, 2026.

Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Francis X. Sullivan, M.D. and Helen (Walsh) Sullivan. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College and master’s degree from the University of Connecticut before embarking on a long and rewarding career as a social worker. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to helping others with compassion, kindness, and understanding.

Known to family and friends as Beth, she found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time in Maine, preserving treasured memories through scrapbooking, searching for antiques, and enjoying YouTube videos. She especially cherished time spent with her family, and her warmth, gentle spirit, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter Sarah Kenny, her siblings Francis Sullivan, Jr., James Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Kathleen Larkin and Joan Soeth and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Sullivan.

The family is deeply grateful to the caregivers at Care Dimensions Hospice & Palliative Care for the exceptional compassion, kindness, and comfort they provided Elizabeth and her family during her final days.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to Care Dimensions Hospice & Palliative Care.
