Kevin C. Szczawinski

Kevin C. Szczawinski, 55 years young, took his final ride on October 25, 2026. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on September 17, 1971, he was the son of the late Chester Szczawinski and Barbara Sherys.

Kevin loved fishing, riding his Harley, going to Bike Week in Laconia, and jamming out to Ozzy (proudly introducing his daughters and nephew to Ozzy’s music at a very young age), and his greatest joy was his family. Kevin was always on the move, splitting his time between his grandson and nephew, cheering them on at sporting events, school performances, and other extracurricular activities. He was an incredibly proud Papa and Uncle, never missing an opportunity to share stories with his friends about playing knee hockey with his oldest grandson, Cormac, or celebrating his nephew, Henry, moving up to his next Karate belt. The recent birth of his youngest grandson, Liam, also brought him tremendous joy. He made sure he was at the hospital the very next day to meet and snuggle him. His calm presence and “kid-at-heart” personality will be truly missed and cherished forever.

He is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Melissa Rackett and Bryanna Bettinger, both of NH; his son in law, Eric Rackett; two cherished grandsons Cormac Rackett and Liam Bettinger; his brother, Chester Szczawinski Jr, his sister, Sherry Julien, and brother-in-law, Bob of Salem MA; his nephew and godson, Henry Julien; his half-sisters Janice, Joyce and Linda, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10AM-12PM on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors located at 28 Elm Street, Danvers, MA. All other services are private. Please come wearing your favorite sports jersey or rock band t-shirt, share a memory, offer a hug, and celebrate his life the way Kevin would want us to.
