Barbara J. Tremblay

DANVERS- Barbara J. (Sauchuk) Tremblay, 81, passed away on October 25, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Frederick B. Tremblay, with whom she shared sixty-three years of marriage. She was born in Salem on February 20, 1936, the daughter of the late John and Emelia (Michalowski) Sauchuk. She attended Saint John the Baptist School in Salem and graduated from Holten High School in Danvers. Barbara was dedicated to her family, taking care of several of the seniors in her family. She always kept her family’s needs above her own. She is survived by two children, John Tremblay and his wife Dawna of Colorado and Dorothy Fortin of Salem, three grandsons, Daniel, Christopher and his wife Perstephanie, and Bryan and two great-grandchildren, Kevin and Clarissa. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Ernest Fortin and her three brothers, John, Paul and Michael Sauchuk. Her Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s name may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
