Barb was such a nice caring woman. She always greeted me and my girls with the warmest hellos. She will be greatly missed at all of our holiday gatherings. I know she and my mom and dad are catching up and enjoying so many laughs in heaven.
My last sibling was bedridden for 3 years and Barb regularly mailed Lori Barron notes of encouragement. She also knitted Lori a beautiful throw to lay over her legs for warmth. So happy I stopped by Barbara’s when I came home. She was my last link who remembered my Mom’s family and the funeral in 1947 of my uncle Otis Robert Chase age 22, USMC.
Rest In Peace my friend, we will miss YOU. Love, Bobby
So sorry for your loss Derick and Kerry and family. Sincerely Joanne Marshall Dobson.
We met on a Danvers FB page and became fast friends even though I live in NYC … I loved having a lunch with her when I was home or bringing her fresh caught fish. She was spunky with a heart of gold …outspoken but so incredibly kind. I will miss your “Love You” at the end of our conversations. You were one of a kind. My deepest condolences to the family.
I never met Barbara, however, I always enjoyed her posts on Facebook and laughing with her about things she said. I wasn’t friends with her on FB but I could see what she posted to mutual friends of mine. RIP Barbara xo
Kerry so sorry to hear this, your mom reached out to me after my son Peter died, she was very caring, I hope your memories bring you and your family comfort.

As long as I have known Barbara she was always loving, caring, thoughtful and generous with a great sense of humor. She spoke highly about her grandkids and you could tell they had her whole heart and she was so very proud of each of them. Her passing was a complete shock as I am sure it has been for her family and friends. She will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. May God wrap his arms around her family and hold them tight during this most difficult time.
This news makes me so sad. Barb, you were a friend for ages – always fun loving, always caring. You made the world a better place. Derek and Kerry, sincere condolences from all the Waldmans.

I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Barbara’s passing. I had reconnected with her via Facebook a few years ago. My sister and I visited her two years ago and brought her to see my father in his assisted living facility. He passed away a week later and we saw her at his funeral. She was a great, compassionate and passionate lady and I will miss her!
The MAME Girls toasting you today while watching a rerun of the movie on Turner Classics and You-Tube today. I will miss you , your kind heart & our shopping/lunch adventures together. Rest In Peace ❤️
Derek and Kerry, your mom and I have been friends for 60 years, it all started at the Penta’s house. We were in North Shore players together and the production Mame. Barbie was a beautiful, loving and giving woman. If you were her friend, you were a friend for life. I’m toasting her right now with a bourbon Manhattan watching the movie Mame! I miss you already Barbie.
So happy we could reconnect through social media. You will be missed Aunt Barbara. Prayers to you both Derek and Kerry.

She was a wonderful woman! Glad I was lucky enough to be her daughter in-law. Her grandchildren are missing her!
Thank you Becky. It was a complete shock and her passing has left great sadness for Derek, myself and our children. We will miss her very much! Thank you for your kind words.
My heartfelt condolences to Derek, Kerry and family. I was deeply saddened to hear about Mom’s passing. I am so glad that we had a nice conversation a couple of weeks ago. The many great stories and great times that we had over the last 50 years are too numerous to mention. However, this much I can say is we laughed until it hurt! I am sure she has a front row seat drinking her Manhattan and listening to “Ol Blue Eyes” her favorite. You will be truly missed Barb. Thanks for memories.
Beautiful family. You all were her pride and joy!
Beautiful picture Alison. You all were her pride and joy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
The Mame Girls! One of our wonderful luncheons. We will all dearly miss Barbie. ❤️
i drove by Perry Terrace. Barbara’s garden had no annual flowers. I knew something must of happened. She loved her flowers. I hope Sammie has found a new home. (I love her even though she tried to bite me when we first met) Rest in peace Barbara and enjoy the gardens in heaven.
