Catherine Toscano

Catherine (Kay) Toscano of Danvers, formerly of Somerville, died peacefully Thursday, September 13, after a brief illness. Catherine was born July 6, 1932 in Hazelton, PA to parents Domenick and Mary. She was predeceased by brothers Anthony, Nuncio, Frank, and a sister, Louise Liotine. Catherine is survived by her loving sister Rose Toscano of Danvers, with whom she resided. Auntie Kay will be remembered for her unconditional love for her many nieces, nephews, their spouses and children, and her many loyal friends. Kay retired from John Hancock Life Insurance where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a dancer with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and received many trophies during her years of dancing. She was a faithful communicant of her parish church, donating much of her time to church activities. She also volunteered at Medical Missionaries of Mary, Somerville. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Oct. 3, 2018 in Saint Catherine of Genoa Parish, 179 Summer St, Somerville, MA 02143. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay’s name to the American Cancer Society, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA, 02451. Funeral arrangements made by C.R Lyons & Sons, 28 Elm St. Danvers.
