Charlotte C. (Crosier) Orrall, 91, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John H. Orrall, with whom she shared fifty-nine years of marriage. Born in Chicopee on July 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bessie (Robinson) Crosier. She was raised and educated in South Hadley and was a graduate of South Hadley High School and Framingham State College. Charlotte was employed for several years as a counselor with Greater Lynn Mental Health Services. A longtime Lynnfield resident where she was a member of Centre Congregational Church for more than sixty years, she was an accomplished painter and was a member of the Lynnfield Art Guild. She was an active volunteer, giving her time to various town and church committees as well as the Boy and Girl Scouts. She was recognized for her dedication when she was named Volunteer of the Year by the Greater Lynn Mental Health Services. Charlotte’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her loving family and dear friends. She leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Wayne Marquis of Danvers and Judith and William LaCapra of Thompson, CT, her daughter-in-law, Katherine Orrall of North Andover, four grandchildren, Kathryn Azevedo and her husband Ed of Topsfield, Jennifer Marquis of Cambridge, J. Peter Orrall II and his wife Lisa of Lynn, and Jamie Orrall of North Andover, two great-grandchildren, Noemia and Jackson, her sister, Nancy McKersie and her husband Robert of Arlington, her brother-in-law Roy Orrall of Lynnfield, and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was predeceased by her son, J. Peter Orrall, and her granddaughter, Ann Marie Orrall. Her Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11AM in the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield. Burial will be private and there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlotte’s memory may be made to Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield, MA 01940, please note the John and Charlotte Orrall Memorial Fund.

  3. Nancy, Wayne, Bill and Judy and family: We have lost a great mentor and friend from our Lynnfield neighborhood. My prayers are with you all at this time. Her wit and wisdom was an inspiration. She enjoyed life and share so much with us all. Have really great memories to treasure.

  4. From the remoteness of 1000 miles we will still very much miss Charlotte’s presence in our lives. Over the years our encounters, while infrequent, were always a joy to Joe for thirty years and for Diana in the brief time she knew Charlotte. We were always made to feel like family and her warmth was infectious! Our condolences go out to the entire family.
