Constance E. King

Constance E. King, 89, of Danvers, died Wednesday morning, May 22, 2019. She was the beloved wife of Robert L. King, with whom she shared forty-four years of marriage.
Born in Lima, Ohio on October 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Rebecca (Wall) Stover. She was educated in Lima and was a graduate of Case Western Reserve University. Prior to her marriage, Connie worked for the Cleveland Browns. She and Bob lived briefly in Michigan before settling in Danvers more than sixty years ago.
A longtime member of the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, where she taught preschool for several years, she had also been active in the Danvers Garden Club and the Senior Center where she played Bridge and was a member of the Book Club.
She leaves her children, David King and his wife Madelyn of Brookline and Diana King of Danvers, two grandchildren, Stephanie King of Washington, DC and Brendan King of Brookline, a sister, Linda Laut of Venice, FL, three sisters-in-law, Doris Robbins of Sarasota, FL, Marie Fischetti of Los Gatos, CA, and Julie King of Albuquerque, NM, and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was a people person and lived life to the fullest.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 10AM in Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, Sylvan St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923 or the Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry, P.O. Box 2076, Danvers, MA 01923.
Connie was my neighbor and what a sweet sweet lady she was. I feel blessed to have known her. Rest In Peace Connie. My condolences to all of her family
