Cynthia L. Langlais

Cynthia L. (Purdy) Langlais, 58, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert A. Langlais, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Born in Beverly on Sept. 10, 1958, she was the daughter of Marion (Wolkins) Purdy of Beverly and the late Frank Purdy. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a 1976 graduate of Beverly High School. A longtime Danvers resident, she was employed by Nunan’s Florist & Greenhouses in Georgetown for nearly twenty years. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves two children, Kerri Langlais-Emilian and her husband Derek of Danvers and Matthew Langlais and his wife Rosa of Peabody, three beloved grandchildren, Daphne, Tyler, and Dylan, and her siblings, Dorothy Mahoney, Frank Purdy, Jr., and Pamela Litchfield. Cynthia’s funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105.
