David A. Crissinger, 74, of Danvers, died peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury following a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn on December 23, 1946, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary (Stevens) Crissinger. He was raised and educated in Columbus, OH where he was a 1965 graduate of Saint Mary’s High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. David had a varied career, working over the years in the leather industry, finance, and emergency medicine. He was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Thomas E. Power Council #1505 and a 4th degree knight of the Fr. Gabrielle Druillette Assembly #390. He was a friend of Bill W. for over twenty years and was proud of his sobriety and loved and appreciated the many friends he made over the years. David enjoyed playing darts, was an avid reader, and a history buff. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He leaves two sons, David Crissinger II and his wife Christine of Ipswich and Matthew Crissinger and his wife Kim of Quincy, two daughters, Kathleen Bell and her husband Andrew of New Zealand and Amy Rochon and her husband David of Quincy, his grandchildren, Lily, Aiden, Maggie, Norah, Rosie, and Corri, his siblings Thomas Crissinger of Ohio, Paul Crissinger of Amesbury, Margaret Holtzapfel of Ohio, Ann Dixon of Ohio, and Mary Ellen Parsons of Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was the brother of the late Andrew Crissinger and Sarahjane Mylott. Visiting hours are Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 5-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to Operation Troop Support, 16 Trinity St., Danvers, MA 01923.   1. Dave was apart of our extended family for so many years. He was such a great friend of my Dad and helped him in his final years. May he be at peace with John and Ruth now. much love and prayers to his family. Susan Gautier, John Devarenne’s daughter.

  2. As a long time member of the KofC council #1505 in Danvers I became a friend of Dave. I am a 3rd degree member and have served as Chancellor. Dave and i worked on many committees together. Dave always took the time to talk whether it was at the council or meeting him in town doing daily errands. I will miss Dave along with all the council brothers that knew him. Rest in peace Dave the lord will take good care of you.

  3. I will always think of David when I say Good morning and it has now become a tradition between Dave’s siblings, cousins, friends and loved ones. David was a jolly ole soul and I have only fond memories of him. Until we meet again in Heaven, cousin … xoxo
