David E. Swanson, 59, of Salem, a longtime Danvers resident, died Thursday morning, June 30, 2022 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after battling cancer. Born in Beverly on July 13, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert and Marcia (Clark) Swanson. David was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Friendly and outgoing, David made friends easily with his easygoing disposition. He was a talented artist. He leaves a brother, Roger Swanson and his wife Gyeong Combs of Chelmsford, a nephew, Joshua Combs and his wife Sarah of Eastham, numerous cousins, and several dear friends. His Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11AM in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Haverhill Rd., Topsfield. Relatives and friends are invited. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are by C.R.   2. I worked with David assisting in furnishing his new apartment, quick witted and always a smile. Deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, I will fondly remember him.

  3. Condolences to Roger and family–memories of David growing up in the neighborhood along side our children. As an adult he often lent a hand for snow removal which we appreciated.

  5. David you were the kindest soul, you always helped me find my way around the high school after it was obvious I wasn’t getting it. I guess if the town govt doesn’t get ya the dirty water will fill the position?
