Resided in:
Danvers, Massachusetts
Donald B. Yeaton, 74, of Danvers, passed away on December 29, 2025, following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Don was born on October 3, 1951, and graduated from Danvers High School, Class of 1969. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1972 as a munitions maintenance specialist.
After his military service, Don spent time in Michigan on Mackinac Island, where he worked driving a horse-drawn buggy. He later returned home to Massachusetts, where he spent the remainder of his life. Don worked at the Boston shipyard before joining Del West, a sheet metal and HVAC company in Beverly, where he worked until 2001. He completed his career as a mechanic for the Danvers Department of Public Works and retired in 2019.
Don was married for 42 years to his loving wife, Donna (Lynch) Yeaton of Danvers. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Stacy Yeaton of Danvers, and his son, Richard Yeaton, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Gildea Yeaton. He was a proud grandfather to Michael DePalo, Stacy’s son, and Hailey Yeaton, Richard’s daughter.
Don shared a particularly close bond with his nephew, Michael Lynch, who was by his side throughout his childhood and remained close into adulthood.
Don found his greatest joy in spending time outdoors with neighborhood kids, his grandson Michael, and lifelong neighbors. He enjoyed going for walks, sharing conversations, and working on projects around the house with his daughter Stacy and grandson Michael. A skilled and patient handyman, Don loved working on cars and assembling bicycles and ride-on toys for children.
He was also deeply loved by his brothers, Jim Yeaton and Richard Yeaton, as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Ronald Yeaton.
He will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, love of family, and the quiet, steady presence he brought to the lives of all who knew him.
